about

Reggae Roast have built some serious momentum over the last seven years and are really hitting their stride in 2015. Their earth rocking Soundsystem has been powering some of the heaviest sessions all over the globe and the Reggae Roast crew have been shelling every dance they play at. As the follow up to one of the biggest tracks of the summer, ‘Soundsystem’ featuring UK veteran Brother Culture, they’ve compiled an extended player of some of BC’s toughest collaborations with the RR crew.

The EP kicks off the title track ‘The Flava’, a seriously weighty riddim which Brother Culture rides with ease & style. His imitable style of con- scious lyrics & vocal gymnastics is showcased throughout the EP, espe- cially on the second track, ‘Bring Up Di Weed’. To follow, ‘Same Old Story’, steps up the tempo & the vibrations with BC delivering a world his- tory lesson in a style only he can. The next track, well what can you say?! ‘Soundsystem’ has been tearing up dancehalls outernationally this summer, including serious support from none other than Sir David Rodigan! To round off the EP, Brother Culture comes with deeper lyrics and an apocalyptic flow on the deadly ‘Seal’.

Brother Culture is one of the UK’s greatest lyricists and artists, who after starting his career around 1982 has been travelling the world spreading the positive message of Rastafari. He’s joined forces & worked with many other world renowned artists too over the years such as The Prodigy, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Adrian Sherwood & Manasseh. In 2015, BC, is leaner, meaner & ready to chant down babylon again and again!

Reggae Roast aren’t stopping just yet and have much more music ready for release this year including a brand new crisp musical biscuit from Kenny Knots & Conscious Sound, a full length album from Adam Prescott plus loads more!
